We are looking for an organized and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as an Administrative Assistant for our Montreal, QC office. The position is based out of our safety department.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the tractor/trailers activity to ensure compliance of company’s safety policy and procedure.
- Analyse the events trends in order to improve safety performance and mitigate unsafe trends.
- Coordinating with other departments to make sure all paper work is thoroughly managed.
- Maintaining driver files and fleet documents to ensure proper documentation.
- Oversee and coordinate driver training at location need to comply with company service and safety standards
- Assisting drivers with documents (ensuring that drivers obtain necessary signatures on Bills of Lading, complete their manifests).
- Enter new orders into the system and maintain the customer portals with up to date information.
- Provide administrative support including generation of reports, presentations, policies and general correspondence documents.
- Analyse and generate reports as needed.
- Other ad-hoc duties
Requirements:
- 0-2 years of experience in trucking industry and/or safety experience is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations preferred
- Positive attitude with good people skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software.
- Experience working on Fleet Manager is an asset
