Charger Logistics is seeking a well-rounded individual able to work in a fast-paced environment to join our team at the company’s office in Brampton, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Implement, manage, and maintain all aspects of our IT Infrastructure including Server Hardware, Software, Business Applications, Infrastructure Services, End user computing, etc.
- Build, deploy, configure, administer, and maintain the VMWare vSphere 5.x and 6.x farms. Monitor the health of the entire virtual infrastructure; proactively fix potential issues
- Configure and maintain High Availability on the vSphere clusters. Maintain security across all farms; perform vulnerability patching. As well as perform capacity planning; upgrade host servers’ hardware or add more hosts when required
- Maintain Servers and storage hardware in datacenter; rack the equipment, configure remote console, replace hardware
- Resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions
- Collaborate with project teams to assist in delivery of the solution implementation by providing guidance as needed to engineering and architecture teams; provide on-call 24x7 support
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Citrix Virtual Desktop (XenDesktop), including Machine Creation Services (MCS) and Citrix Provisioning (PVS)
- Provision, maintain and troubleshooting Citrix VPN solution
- Maintain and update master images for Citrix Desktops
- Patching Citrix servers
- Manage the monitoring the Citrix environment using Desktop Director and Citrix Console
- Manage & maintain the Citrix VMware environment, patching ESXi Vmware hosts and vCenter
- Building and updating Thin Client profiles for use with Citrix
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of experience in managing and maintaining a vCenter ESXi environment, maintain and monitor the health of virtual Infrastructure, proactively fix potential, ESXi cluster setup, manage highly critical workloads, vMotion, DRS, Host upgrade/maintenance tasks, Virtual Networking (Virtual Switches, VM Kernel Ports), Virtual Storage, VSAN (Access Control and VMFS Data stores), Snapshot manager and restoring a snapshot, networking - routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP and VLANs
- Experience with application layering technologies MSIX, App-V, Unidesk, or Liquidware Labs; User profile management with Appsense, Citrix profile management, or FSLogix; as well as Enterprise design and implementation experience of Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop (Citrix Apps& Desktops), and NetScalers; VDI hosted on VMware, Azure
- Prior VMware experience in an Enterprise setting (Migration, Implementation, Performance Optimization); installing VMware vSphere (vCenter,ESX,and vDS); as well as working knowledge of Storage solutions and connectivity including - FC, FCoE, iSCSI, Ethernet, NFS, CIFS, and similar concepts
- 5+ years of experience directly administering and troubleshooting a Citrix VDI environment consisting of single user OS and multiple user RDS (Xenapp/published desktop) using MCS on VSphere hypervisor
- Preferred cert is Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V) or Citrix Certified Professional - Networking (CCP-N). Microsoft Server 2016 may also be acceptable.
