We are looking for a Voice Engineer to support and design our global voice and wireless networks. Successful candidate will need to have working knowledge of voice over IP, and Cisco wireless for our Brampton location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Architect and support global voice over IP systems, manage and optimize voice and data contracts.
- Implement, design and provide support for Cisco VoIP applications
- Configuration & Deployment of Cisco Jabber which includes Persistent Chat, Managed File Transfer, Screen sharing, Jabber MRA
- Engineer and deploy UC Cluster which includes CUCM, CUC, and IM& P along with Jabber MRA
- Complete the installation of a Cisco Call Manager/Unity lab test the enhanced feature set of latest hardware/software service release, patches and firmware
- Designs Cisco switch, router, firewall, VPN and wireless solutions.
- Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
- Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.
- Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.
- Continuous improvement of new and existing processes and solutions
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot network and telecommunications Infrastructure equipment, phones and other peripheral equipment.
- Work with internal business teams to design and improve call flows to improve the experience of our internal and external customers.
- Design, configure and troubleshoot QoS classification, marking and prioritization of network traffic (voice, critical applications, etc.).
- Manage DNS servers, internal and external DNS record management and troubleshooting, DHCP management in Infoblox
- Configure route plans, route lists, device profiles, calling search spaces, and partitions.
- Oversee Routine health check for all the VoIP based system.
- Schedule maintenance activity of the VOIP devices which includes verifying and documenting on Zendesk ticketing system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred
- 8 years or more of related work experience in network administration working with Cisco routers, Cisco switches and Cisco ASA firewalls
- Strong understanding of various Protocols & Technologies: TCP/IP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, BGP, OSPF, VOIP, DHCP, DNS, IPv4, Telnet, SSH, SIP, MPLS, POE, OSI Model
- Experience with voice and video solutions; Cisco CUCM, voice gateways, SIP Protocol, video devices, Webex on Prem
- Hands on experience on Cisco Unified Communication Manager (10.x),Cisco Unity Connection (10.x),Cisco IM & Presence (10.x),Cisco Expressway C & E (x8.7, x8.10)
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN, Routing , Switching , Cisco wireless controller 2504,VLAN,VTP, VPN
- Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be organized
- Should have a team-oriented attitude, solid interpersonal skills and be self-driven
- Rotational or on-call support will be required
- Having Cisco Certified Network Professional (Voice) {CCVP}, Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert {CCIE}, Cisco Certified Network Associate (Voice),Cisco Certified Network Associate is an asset.
