We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based in our Scottsdale office.
Responsibilities:
- Manage US tax calculations for various entities.
- Planning and managing safe income, and tax surpluses tracking for US and foreign entities.
- Analyze, recommend and prepare US and foreign elections.
- Conduct quarterly and annual review of foreign income.
- Lead strategic initiatives, such as internal reorganizations, repatriations, holding structure and financing arrangements.
- Establish and document audit-ready file to support tax planning (e.g., internal memos and other documentation); assist with government tax audits and responses to queries as required.
- Support the preparation and filing of US foreign affiliate tax reports (i.e. T1134s).
- Manage innovative tax planning programs.
- Review complex income tax returns Identify all tax risks.
- Manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
- Suggest innovating solutions for process improvement using best practices.
- Manage and coordinate tax audits.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree preferably in Business, Accounting or Finance with CPA designation.
- Master in tax and / or CPA in-depth tax courses preferred
- Minimum 5 years of US multi-national / international tax compliance and planning experience in a national accounting firm, and/or in the tax department of a multi-national US corporation
- Strong transactional and international tax experience, the ability to manage internal and external tax professionals, and the ability to work cross functionally
- Strong technical knowledge of US income tax law and US foreign affiliate rules
- Working knowledge of income tax laws of other foreign jurisdictions is a significant asset.
- Experience with corporate internal reorganizations, repatriations, financing, and other tax planning related to a US multinational company
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and tax reporting
- Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- A strong team player who is detail oriented, analytical, and very organized
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment
